Hey there Wanderloves! I go away for so long, and somehow I always wind up back here. So I thought I’d bring it back with one of my favorite topics, FOOD. When I first moved down to Orlando I went around to new restaurants and cafes to learn the city, and well… EAT! Now, I’m going to share some of those places I’ve been and in the future share the new places I try out locally here in Orlando.
Not too long ago I treated myself to a birthday dinner at Luke’s Kitchen and Bar. It’s a bit off the beaten path here in Orlando, but I had been hearing a lot of buzz around it. I drove up on a Friday night, and I just happened to get lucky and got a spot outside. I’d definitely recommend making a reservation, especially on a weekend.
And now for the good stuff. How was the meal?! I kicked things off with the El Mariachi, a refreshing tequila drink. Then I had the redfish for dinner, which came with a little cornbread, corn + greens. It was light and delicious. And you know I got me some dessert. I opted for the Tahitian vanilla soft serve, which was topped with some Oreo crumbles and it was a complete delight and perfect way to end the meal. I would honestly go back just for that soft serve.

I would definitely recommend checking Luke’s out. Can’t wait to go back to try out their brunch! The menu is different from dinner and sounds so yum! Make it an evening or weekend hangout, take your time, and try out a variety from the menu. That’s something I gotta say Europeans do right, take your sweet time with your meal. Savor it.
