TikTok made me do it! And it was worth it!
Have to give props to @karissaeats for this recommendation! Her page popped up on my FYP, cause TikTok just knew what was best for me. I was instantly interested in her overseas ‘What I Eat in a Day’ videos. Then, she recently came back to the States, and to my surprise is in Orlando! I’m a sucker for good Asian food, so when I saw her video featuring Kai Asian Street Fare, I did not walk… I ran!
Now the only real complaint I have about this place is how far away it is from me. It was a hike and quite a hidden location. It is no wonder I had never heard about it before. But what a gem it is! I went on a Friday evening and based on what I just said, that is the only reason I can think of as to why it was empty. There were only 1-2 other people there while I was having my meal. It was great for me because I came right in and was served! It is super small and simple, which I find two great signs of a great restaurant!
So first things first, if they offer Thai Iced Tea, I’ll order it. Now, this is tricky because Thai Iced Tea can be overly sweet, but you want it to just be sweet enough. And they nailed it! The other thing I always order is… Gyozas. Or potsticker or fried dumplings, whichever you call them. I started with the pork pot stickers, and they were good. Nothing extraordinary, but a good appetizer.

The dish that sparked my interest from Karissa’s video was the Drunken Noodles. I LOVE wide rice noodles, it is probably my favorite dish. Pad See Ew is my usual go-to at a Thai restaurant. And I just have not found really great options in Orlando. Well, this has become a solid option! I wish they had more Thai noodle options. But they do have a few other noodle options, which I will have to try another time. The noodles were fresh. It was so yummy and leaned on the sweet side. I enjoy my food spicy, and ended up putting some red pepper flakes on my leftovers at home and it was just perfection!

That was all I could do at that moment. But I’ve been back since to order takeout. Another feature from Karissa’s video was the K-Pop and Lock Loaded Fries. Even taken home and re-heated/assembled, it was delicious! I don’t know if loaded fries could get better than that! They also have Korean Fried Chicken, which is just an immediate yes. I asked my waiter for his recommendations, and although I’m usually a sauce-y kinda girl, he recommended the Szechuan Dry Rub and I went for it! Y’all, the smell. Was freaking incredible. It smelled spicy and peppery, it was mouth-watering. I reheated it in the air-fryer, and it tasted fresh. A splurgy yet worth it option.
Honestly, I wish it was in my neighborhood! If you happen to be up in that part of town, stop in! Seems like you can’t go wrong with this menu!
