Tis Me Michelle

Ted Lasso will be going down as one of my favortist shows of all time. It’s right up my alley. I’ve come to learn the shows that I love the most are comedies with wholesome content. My all-time favorite show is Boy Meets World and another top pick is Parks and Recreation. So this shouldn’t come as a surprise. And you know, when things are super hyped, I am usally a bit disappointed if I wait too long to get around to it. Ted Lasso + I were just meant to be, ya’ll.

I recently binged both seasons, in a matter of days… Like 3 days. By chance it was available for my viewing pleasure on a flight I was on. They had the first 4 episodes and I got through those so quick – I had time to start Severance. I was hooked after the first episode.

Ted Lasso’s energy is just as contagious as Leslie Knope’s. It’s just too delightful to not want to be around and know. I wish I had an ounce of that sunshine. Then we have Roy Kent, not to be soo compartive, but is just as adorably grumpy as Ron Swanson. And Ron Swanson is the love of my life. Roy comes real close, his grunting is fantastic, almost as amazing as Ron’s giggling. Honestly, I love the whole cast. I think they bounce off of each other so well. I know nothing about football, but I’m always rooting for them.

I appreciated that Season 2 tackled a more serious topic, anxiety. I felt like they handled the storyline so well. It could have been a random one episode situation, but it had a true arc. I love the light-heartedness of the show, but I am glad they developed this plot and honestly made it pretty realistic. The other part that I loved was the further character developement of characters who could have simply been in the background. It’s truly shaping out to be an ensemble show vs. Ted & the others. I’m a big fan of Keely in general and Jamie is quickly becoming one of my favorites, although I’m still rooting for Keeley & Roy.

[Spoiler Section] Questions & Thoughts

• Are you Team Roy or Jamie?
• Will the Doc be coming back??
• When is something gonna happen between Ted & Rebecca? Or is that gonna be avoided all together?? They def have some chemistry.
• Buttttt… I do like Rebecca & Sam!
• I did think Nate’s arc was cliche, but there needed to be some drama; I’ll allow it.
• Still cannot believe they used Baby Shark as a catchphrase for Jamie. Brilliant.
• I wish I had Beard’s confidence.

Honestly, I have been thinking about rewatching it again already. I cannot recommend this show enough if you haven’t seen it yet. Get that free Apple TV trial, you’ll finish the show in time!
