I’m on the hunt for good pizza in Orlando. I make sure I get my fix whenever I travel to NY (which I try to do a couple times a year), but it would be great to have something close by when the craving arises. Pizza has been pretty hard to come by in Orlando… Well, good pizza. Honestly, I think if it’s good in Orlando it’s $$$ bougie, gourmet pizza.

I landed at Pigzza for a girl’s night dinner. Another place with great staff and vibes. The decor was super cute and perfect for a girl’s night. And the playlist was steady bops the whole time! A cool spot for a casual hang. They have indoor & outdoor seating, based on your preference.

We shared a salad, fries, dip & pizza. I was super excited about the fries because they were ‘cacio e pepe’ fries. Cacio e pepe has really been having its moment. Honestly, they tasted like pretty basic fries. I want to say they didn’t taste overly fresh either. We opted for the roasted artichoke dip without the pepperoni, which was pretty tasty. It was super creamy and cheesy. It had a whole layer of butter/garlic oil on top which was a bit offputting, but you know that’s what brings the flava.

Onto the salad, we shared the Caesar salad, which if you do opt for it, know that it is a whole meal, it is no side piece. Although you could have probably guessed that by its price. This was a very average salad, it wasn’t my favorite by any means, but I think it was my favorite part of the meal. I felt like I got some veggies in, and so for that, it hit the spot. Then finally onto the main dish, I split a pepperoni pizza. Unfortunately, it just didn’t do it for me. It was far too salty, it tasted like the dough itself was too salty. So sad to report my quest to find great pizza in Orlando is still ongoing.

We did of course still have room for dessert! The crew settled for a brownie sundae. And sadly, it was right on par with the rest of the dinner. The ideal brownie sundae is a warm, gooey, brownie with a crackly top and some ice cream to balance it out. We were met with a room temperature, leaning toward cakey. Ice cream is ice cream, so that part was great. And I’m a whip cream lover, the whipped cream on top was solid which was a bonus for me.

Overall, I don’t see myself going back to this spot. It was a cute place to just hang out with friends. But for food, I wouldn’t recommend it. A couple friends ordered drinks as well, they didn’t seem blown away. There are plenty of great restaurant options on Mills 50 alone, so I’d recommend checking out another spot.
