I wasn’t sure if this should be part of ‘Budget but Bougie’ or ‘Orlando Foodie Finds’. Ultimately, I think Chi-Kin has a great lunch deal, so I went for the former. And why Bougie? Because Korean fried chicken is the elite fried chicken. If you’ve had it, you know. It’s extra crispy and paired with Asian flavors, the best of the best.
Located up in my favorite foodie area of Mills 50, this is a great spot to pop into. Honestly, what a great location to have some kind of food tour. Did I just create a new job for me? Food Tours in Orlando! Let me know if you are interested! Just kidding, but am I?!
So let’s get into the deal. Every day, Chi-Kin offers a variety of lunch deals for $13 or less (not including tax). You can choose between wings, tenders, or a sandwich. Plus they have vegan options! There is a list of flavors for you to choose from to coat your chicken of choice. And along with the main dish, you can choose between fries or rice and get a small cup for a fountain drink. I chose to upgrade my fries to chicken bulgogi fries. You can upgrade fries or rice, by adding beef, chicken, or kimchi.
It’s plenty of food for the price, I ended up splitting it between lunch and dinner. I opted for the Hot Gochugung flavor on my wings, I will say it was not hot, but definitely savory with some sweetness. It was still very flavorful, but I would have liked more spice to it. There are many other flavors, so I’d be curious to try those at some point. And I would go for the regular waffle fries, the chicken bulgogi was just ok, and not really necessary. Maybe the kimchi or beef would have been better, but the waffle fries were great on their own.
For $13 I think this lunch deal is great. It’s nice to have a Korean fried chicken option in the city. It’s in a great location on Mills 50. Just around the corner, you could grab a coffee at Qreate or Haan’s or dessert at Sampaguita.

- Small Fountain Diet Coke
