This place holds a special place in my heart. There was a location right next to my first apartment in Orlando and now I live pretty close to the home location as well. On top of that, I learned early on that the coffee shop is owned by the pastor of the church I attend.

You can tell this coffee shop is a community point, it’s consistently busy. However, even when it is busy if you find a spot, it’s not a distracting environment. As you know, a big factor of my coffee shop reviews is the ability to comfortably work/study and… Parking! Axum is on Plant Street which has plenty of great parking, including a parking garage right behind the coffee shop. The second location also has plenty of parking as well. The second location also shares a space with a cat adoption place, so you can grab a cup of joe and a kitty cat. I have been into the cat area, but please note I am not a cat person, those who know – know.

Now let’s spill the beans. Ha. Ha. Wow, I’m surprised this is the first time I brought that one in. I’m a fan of the lattes and coffee at Axum. They are not super unique or fancy, but there is a good selection of specialty drinks, and hit the spot. I usually go for the Heavenly Toffee iced latte and keep an eye on their seasonal offerings. The heavenly toffee has a bit of, you guessed it, toffee syrup and some caramel. It’s subtly sweet, which is my vibe. I don’t like an overly sweet latte, but love some flavoring.

I have gotten some of the bites there too, and honestly, I don’t think it’s worth it. There are plenty of better food options on Plant Street, so if you are hungry, I’d save your appetite and money for one of those places.
