I had to go out to the office a few weeks ago. And since I had to get up early and get ready, I figured I needed some fuel. So I gave a quick Googly search to see what was in the area I happened to be in. And that’s when I discovered Barb’s. I don’t know that I would have known it was there, because it’s inside a church. And truly a hidden gem.
While I was there, they had a Matcha Lemonade as one of their seasonal offerings. And I discovered I really enjoy that combo. Honestly, I only realized I actually liked Matcha over the last year or two. I blame that on Starbucks. I should have known better, cause I would never drink Chai from Starbucks, so why would I drink Matcha. When I have it from more specialty places, I’ve enjoyed it much more. And this Matcha Lemonade was refreshing and smooth. I really enjoyed it.
I did grab a cheese danish as well. It wasn’t too memorable, because well, I don’t remember it much. There weren’t a whole lot of pastry options and none that really stood out to me. I’d probably just grab a drink if I went again. I saw that they have their fall flavors as they transition their seasonal drinks and they sound delightful.
There’s plenty of parking as it’s a church – although I don’t know if it’s open on Sunday, therefore I don’t how parking would go if it was a Sunday. It’s right across the Florida Mall, so if all else fails you can park at the mall. I’d definitely stop by here again, especially if I was visiting the mall.
