Hello Foodies! I took a week off. Well, if we’re being honest I took a few weeks off. I had a big hit of creative energy a bit ago when I batch-wrote most of the previous posts. As usual as quick as the creative juices hit, it goes away. But I’m trying to stay consistent. Because I do enjoy doing these, but my consistency is all over the place, so bear with me!

Anyway, I’ve seen Bamita a few times from the TikTok Orlando influencers so I gave it a try. It’s a cute little shop attached to the Super Oriental Market. Next time I go I want to check out the market. Having fresh food options is one of my favorite things about Asian Markets. Orlando is supposed to get an H-Mart, I cannot wait! I realized I didn’t plan my trip that great, because what I really wanted to try was one of their Vietnamese coffee options. However, I only got there around 3 p.m., and I’m an old lady now. I cannot with coffee later in the day. Vietnamese coffee is usually pretty strong too so I held off on getting any. So just note, I will go back because I want to try it!

Instead, I got a banh mi. I freaking love Banh Mi. I ordered the regular Grilled Pork Banh Mi, but they didn’t have the bread for the regular so they gave me the ‘stick’. I couldn’t tell you what the big difference is, but I think the stick is just a much smaller version. It’s in a skinny baguette, so not as much filling. I will say it was good, not my favorite. The baguette was delightful, but since it was ‘skinny’ there was only so much filling. Usually, Banh Mi has cilantro and jalapeno along with pickled carrots and onions, but the stick only had a touch of the ladder. So I felt like I missed out on the full experience.

I feel like I need to give this place another shot, earlier in the day and have the full experience. When I can handle the coffee and the regular bread is still available. I have no doubt my rating will go up after the next time!

Rating: 5.8/10
