I cannot believe I haven’t made a post about my summer Parisian trip. If I hadn’t said it enough on this blog, I love Paris. People either love or hate Paris. I love it, nothing or no one will ever rain on my Paris parade. The trip was an absolute delight. As always I felt like I was in a dream. It was the longest I’ve been in France, the first few days I was in Paris and then for almost a week after that I went to Marseille. It was all wonderful.
On the first night in Paris, after a lovely boat ride on the Seine, my friend and I went scoping for a bar/restaurant we saw on the boat ride. After circling a bit, we realized it was a restaurant/bar inside a building that looked like it could be a fancy hotel. My friend and I ultimately came to the conclusion it had Vegas vibes. Along with it being a restaurant/bar, there was also apparently a club somewhere in there. It was definitely a fancy place, and for dinner I’m sure we needed a reservation, but we asked if we could try for the bar. The reason we wanted to go here was because it looked like a great rooftop spot. They allowed us to go up to the bar and we were able to grab a couple spots by the bar with the most amazing view.
One of the biggest things I complaints I hear from people about France is how rude people are, it’s the stereotype. I’ve yet to experience that. Our waiter brought me a seat when he saw that we only saw one available. He was also super personable and guided me to my favorite drink of my trip, which from what he said was his concoction. I don’t know if it’s the one on the website, but it was the only tequila-based cocktail on the menu.
I will warn you, along with the vibes being like Vegas, the prices are comparable too. This was definitely the priciest place we went to during the trip. But we had a feeling, you are definitely paying for the views and the vibes. I noticed the reviews here aren’t stellar on the Google, and it’s mainly pointing towards the food and prices. We just got drinks and a bowl of fries to share. For me, it was worth it. It was my bougie splurge on the trip. Went big on Day 1.
If you go in knowing that it’s going to be a pretty penny – I would recommend it for a drink. Based on reviews, I’d skip dinner here, there are plenty of other options in the city. If you happen to want to try dinner, then make sure to get a reservation. I hope to go back to my favorite city in the world again, and I would totally stop by here again.
