During my break in between The Cursed Child Part 1 and Part 2, I had to find something to do to pass the time. Luckily a few of the bars I had saved were in the vicinity, literally a minute’s walk away from the theater. So naturally I went to check them out while I had time to kill.
One of the two bars I went to was Swift. I must have heard about it on the socials and saved it. It’s a very picturesque bar with an upstairs and downstairs. I asked which was ‘cozier’ and the sweet staff up front told me to downstairs. I actually didn’t realize until just now when I went to check the menu that the upstairs & downstairs have different menus. Which is kind of cool, but also I would have maybe liked to know? I went and sat at the bar, which was very cute, and I will say the downstairs is quite a cozy vibe. Probably more date night vibes, but listen when solo, just live it up.
Even though they may be different, I really like the menus downstairs. Each drink had its own artwork which was so cute with a breakdown of what is in it. As we know, I’m a tequila girl through and through, so I went to find the options. There weren’t many, but I opted for the one I saw which was called the Tailfeather.
I’m not a big vermouth fan, but it was as close to being a marg, without fully being a marg ya know? It was refreshing and lovely. A big draw in addition to the vibes is also the craftsmanship. At pretty much all the bars I went to in London, the quality was up there. I suppose in a city like this or NYC with so much competition, your game has to be on another level. I thoroughly enjoyed sitting at the bar watching my drink being made, I could see the attention to detail going into it and I love that.
I believe there are a few locations, I went to the one in Soho by the theater and if you are in town, I highly suggest stopping by! The drinks aren’t cheap, but in comparison to some other places, it wasn’t too bad either. I’d definitely pop in here again someday.
