I was looking for a spot for some good coffee where I could chill and journal for a bit on a day off. Plus, I wanted to try a new spot. From my hunt, I found Easy Luck and decided to give it a shot! Originally I had no idea where it was, then as I approached I realized it was right next door to the vegan spot, Market on South, which I’d tried a few times.
It’s off of the main road, which I don’t love, but there are enough parking spots. I also came to learn that Easy Luck is a shared space with Whippoorwill Beer House, which is a great concept. Depending on the time of day you could go with caffeine or alcohol, or you could make it into a day-to-night full-day experience. Plenty of options really.
Similar to many coffee shops in Orlando or in a city in general, the space is small but bigger than some others I’ve been to. At this point, I’ve gone twice and both times I only found space at the bar of Whippoorwill, which wasn’t too bad. It was definitely steadily busy both times I went.
The first time I went I got the seasonal pineapple matcha and The Wellsbuilt Toast. I really enjoyed the matcha, I believe the second time I got the same seasonal pineapple flavor but with a cold brew and it was also very good. From what I can tell their food menu is primarily vegan, with a couple vegetarian options, which I think is fantastic. The toast was beautiful and had a lot of flavors going on. It was meant to be their take on a BLT Given it’s a toast and not a sandwich, it was rather difficult to eat, even with a fork and knife. The toast was just rather… Toasty. The ‘B’ on this dish was coconut bac’n, which was rather flavorful. It was sweet, salty, and even had a kick. The coconut gave the overall toast a fun texture, being the ‘meat’, but also a great crunch sprinkled on top. A bit too salty, but I think there were a lot of elements of saltiness plus salt sprinkled on top. Although it was hard to eat, I did enjoy it.

I would come here again for the coffee or beer, and maybe try another one of the food menus. The updated seasonal coffee menu looks great, so I’m excited to try out new flavors in the future!
