I’ve had Caffè Panna on my must-go list for a few years now! My NY trips flash by in the blink of an eye, each and every time I go, I just keep missing my chance to try. The ice cream just looked so good, and I have a weakness for whipped cream, and panna is essentially cream, so this was a place that was meant for me.

This place is pretty social media famous now, so the line was long. I was prepared for the wait. It was a wait, but it did consistently move, and the staff was super friendly. The wait had its benefits because there were a few menus posted, and my friends and I had plenty of time to consider our options. It was a difficult decision as most of their flavors sounded great, plus they had some sundae options that seemed amazing. After much consideration, I opted for a scoop of the Caffè Bianco Stracciatella plus a scoop of the Gluten Free Cookies & Cream they had as one of the daily specials. Oh, and of course, some Panna on top!

It was worth the wait. Super creamy, not overly sweet, the Panna and the Ice Cream. I did question if I got the Caffè Bianco Stracciatella or the Cookies ‘n Panna, which my cousin ordered; they looked and tasted very similar. However, it was delicious, so I’ll let it slide. Along with the Panna, you are able to choose a topping and syrup on your scoops, so you get a pretty great customization for the same price. I like my ice cream pretty simple, and as we clearly know at this point, the Panna was what I was after.

I’m glad I finally got to try out this ice cream spot. I would come back, wait, and all. But I also know that I try to try different places on my NY trips. So maybe one day I’ll give it another go, if not, I thoroughly enjoyed it this one and only time.
