On the way to a pottery market, I was looking for a caffeine fix. Google alerted me Lucid Beans was just a street over. It was meant to be! They had just opened this brick-and-mortar location the week prior.

The Parking: A bit trickier than other locations because there doesn’t seem to be a dedicated parking lot. They have space right outside the building, enough for about 5 or so cars. I parked in the gravel by the fence both times I went. One of my two visits was for an event, and they did mention there was some parking across the street.

The Atmosphere: Along with the coffee cart parked inside, this location is also a plant shop. It’s green, cozy, and a tad witchy. Their specialty drinks have fun elixir inspo. I absolutely love a magical vibe. Not scary! But a cute, good witch vibe – love!

It’s more of a drop-in and out spot. It’s a smaller venue, there is still a little space inside, and some benches outside. And yet there was enough space to host an event with at least 20 people. My second visit was for a crafting event. It was tight, but cozy.

The Menu: They have quite a few options to choose from, including the elixir-themed drinks I mentioned. I was intrigued by their long list of iced cappuccino options. Iced lattes and coffees are everywhere, but I have rarely ever seen an iced cappuccino aside from all the freddo cappuccinos I had in Greece.

On top of having this option, they had some unique flavors. I went for the chai cappuccino. Essentially two different drinks. Yet, I’ve come to learn that when folks say chai here, they mean the flavor of all the vibrant spices. And ya know what, I’m not mad. The flavors are so comforting and go well with just about any cozy drink. And it worked well here. I would get it again or try one of the many other delicious-sounding iced capps.

At the crafting event, they had some extra special options. It was later in the evening, so all my friends and I ended up ordering the lemonade option so we didn’t have a caffeine buzz all night. It was a blueberry and lychee-infused lemonade. It was a refreshing option.

Overall: The owners are such lovely folks, super welcoming and accommodating. I chatted with them a bit during the first visit, and they talked about starting this venture during COVID and starting as a cart. It’s really great to see small businesses and good people flourish. I appreciate their creativity in making all their fun flavors and combinations. I would go back to grab a drink or shop the plants available as well.
