Would I describe myself as a basic bitch? I mean, I don’t know that prefer it, but I don’t think I can deny it either. I love me a coffee shop. Spending too much money on a coffee I really don’t need and maybe a pastry has basically become a beloved hobby of mine.
Ever since I moved to Orlando, I’ve made it a point to try out as many as I can. Honestly, I don’t think I can even keep up anymore. There are so many new coffee shops popping up on the daily! As I’ve been trying to figure out my life, I’ve found it super helpful to come out to a coffee shop or Barnes & Noble (to save a few bucks) to get some focused time in.
Another new series. I swear they are all things I love and semi-different at the same time. One day I’ll hone in on my niche.
Back to the point Michelle! Framwork Craft Coffee House, located on Mills 50 was a great find. It’s small but cozy. A big consideration to get me to go down to Mills/Downtown Orlando is parking. And this place has a decent-sized parking lot in the back. That was a gold star right off the bat. As someone who goes to work and get my focus on for a few hours, tables are limited, so it may be a gamble to find a spot to hunker down. I opted for a bar seat and then moved in on a table once folks cleared out. The ‘bar’ did have charging ports, so that is an option if you are also there to get work done. I could see it get busy because it is small, but it was quieter than most places I’d gone, and I was able to zone out for a couple hours.
The best part? I thoroughly enjoyed the drink I got. I’m not a loyalist when it comes to a specific drink or brand. I’m sure some people like to have a baseline they try everywhere to compare… But I like to try out specialty drinks, especially if it’s unique to the place. I ordered a Black Cherry Soda Shakerato. What a mouthful! I honestly didn’t know what to expect and was kind of nervous that I had made an awful decision. But boy was I pleasantly surprised! Here’s a description of what I ordered.
It was unique, refreshing, and simply delicious! It tasted like caffeinated soda, and I mean that in the best way possible. I was able to taste the espresso, the sparking water adds the element you need in the heat of the summer. The caramel added just enough sweetness and the black cherry just paired perfectly to bring the concoction together. It sounds like it doesn’t and shouldn’t make sense, but I stand by it being one of my favorite coffee drinks I’ve had to date.

They have a concept I’d seen before at Downtown Credo where you can choose how much you pay, and as you can see they give you a range of what they would recommend. I can without a doubt say I’d go back here! I’d love to try their other specialty drinks or even their regular cup of joe! They definitely see coffee as a craft and I love to see that!
